Non-invasive and painless: MRI scans are non-invasive. It is a painless imaging technique that uses magnetic fields and radio waves to capture detailed images of your body's internal structures.

 

MRI Safe For Repeated Examinations

Your safety is our priority: MRI scans do not use ionising radiation like X-rays or CT scans, making them a safe option for repeated examinations. Rest assured that the procedure poses no known health risks, and the benefits far outweigh any minimal discomfort or inconvenience. Because the MR machine is a big magnet, there are certain metallic or electronic implants which we need to know about in order to ensure our patients can be scanned safely. This is why you will be asked about any previous surgeries or accidents - Just in case you ended up having a metal plate or staples. It’s amazing how many people forget.

Claustrophobia concerns: If you experience claustrophobic tendencies, please let our staff know in advance. We can provide measures to help you feel more at ease during the scan. Our MR machines all have large holes called bore-holes for you to fit through.
